Dr. Melissa Prest is a registered dietitian nutritionist who provides medical nutritional therapy for people living with chronic kidney disease and helps them navigate the kidney diet. She also has experience as a health coach with clients around the world making behavior changes that allow them to reach their desired health goals. Committed to forming relationships with clients looking to live their best lives, Dr. Prest is always there for guidance and to reinforce healthy lifestyle habits.  "I believe that everyone should be able to live well and thrive.  Proper nutrition and disease management are some of the keys to success.  I want to provide everyone I work with the skills and tools necessary to live a long and healthful life."

Dr. Melissa Prest has been a registered dietitian nutritionist since 2003 and received her dietitian practical training through Loyola University Chicago.  Dr. Prest is an active volunteer and holds board positions for a variety of professional dietetic groups.  She is a national media spokesperson for the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. 

 

Originally from the Chicagoland area, Dr. Prest relocated to Seattle in 2020.  She continues to work out of Chicago in her role with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois as the Foundation Dietitian.  She lives with her partner, Angel (a fellow dietitian), two stepkids, and too many animals to mention.
